This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of
Defense.
The requirements for acquiring the product described herein shall consist of this specification
sheet and the issue of MIL-DTL-2 listed in that issue of the Department of Defense Index of
Specifications and Standards (DoDISS) specified in the solicitation.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. The valve shall be forged from aluminum-silicon-bronze in conformance with alloy B
in drawing number 112 of the Chlorine Institute.
2. The stem shall be nickel-copper conforming to ASTM B 164.
3. A valve outlet cap shall be supplied.
4. Mark the valve body: PHOSGENE.
