SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Diaphragms in style IV valves shall be made of metal or from a plastic with a low
modulus of elasticity.
2. Mark the valve body: LPG.
3. Markings shall be in accordance with CGA S-1.1.
4. Start to discharge pressure shall be 375 psig.
5. Flow rating pressure shall be 480 psig.
6. Flow capacity shall not be less than 360 cfm.
7. The valve components shall contain less than 67 percent copper.
OPTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Outlet cap or plug (required) (not required).
2. Dip tube assembled to valve (required) (not required).
INTENDED USE: The valves covered by this specification sheet are intended for use with
cylinders for butane, propane, butane and propane mixtures, MAPP gas, and propylene with
nominal capacities to 100 pounds LPG (240 pounds H20 capacity maximum).
NOTES:
1. Type designation will include any style valve from table I.
2. Special requirements will be mandatory for all valve procurements.
3. Optional requirements will be specified for each valve procurement.
CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS ISSUE: Marginal notations are not used in this revision to
