6.4 Color chips. Color chips related to FED---STD---595 will no longer be available to cali- brate color. As an alternate, users are referred to color coordinates specified in accordance with the International Commission on Illumination CIE L*a*b* (CIELAB) color coordinate system. Color coordinates can be used as an independent reference for comparison and match- ing. All CIELAB color coordinates for the colors referenced by FED---STD---595 are provided at www.gsa.gov/portal/content/142623.
6.5 Changes from previous issues. The margins of this specification are marked with verti- cal lines to indicate where changes from the previous issue were made. This was done as a con- venience only and the Government assumes no liability whatsoever for any inaccuracies in these notations. Bidders and contractors are cautioned to evaluate the requirements of this document based on the entire content irrespective of the marginal notations and relationship to the last previous issue.
